Gable End Re-builds
Water ingress generally happens due to flashings,
deteriorating and old or poor materials.
This gable end had a full re-build including new cladding,
Sarkin, waka flex and new pointing. The owners were
very grateful to find a solution to years of leakage.
Re-Bedding and Pointing of Hips/Ridges
Water ingress can also often occur when pointing has deteriorated and becomes porous.
This is an example of a roof that had leaks due to having many entry points for water in the pointing.
We grind back all points on tile to ensure new pointing will stick.
While it may be a time consuming job, the result is better, cleaner look that ensures a water tight roof space.
Valley Replacements
The photos below show the whole process of removing rusted valleys.
This job can be a bit more complex and as shown in the 3rd photo, joins are quite detailed where both valleys intersect.
However, maintaining these valleys is a crucial part to having a watertight roof.
